AN OVERVIEW OF OUR GLOBAL MISSIONS CONFERENCES
The 12th Global Missions Conference (GMC) renewed hearts and affirmed callings. In 2024, GMC expanded to the Caribbean, gathering nearly 60 delegates in Jamaica under the theme “Partnering Together for Wholistic Impact.” Later, GMC-Africa in Kenya united 1,000 delegates under “Transformed for Wholistic Impact,” inspiring bold steps into mission. Attendees testified to renewed passion for the Great Commission, Great Commandment, and Great Concern, affirming the Global South as both mission field and mission force.
OUR SUDAN RESPONSE IN 2024
In 2024, civil war forced LIA-Sudan to relocate, facing funding delays, logistical hurdles, and growing needs in IDP camps. The conflict’s ripple effects reached South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Egypt, worsening refugee crises. Yet, through local church partners, LIA supported over 3,500 households with hygiene supplies, nutrition, and education. Amid adversity, our mission to bring hope, healing, and restoration remained steadfast.

“Teach a Man to Fish” by Dr. Florence Muindi and Dr. Charlie Vittitow offers a vision for sustainable development rooted in biblical principles. Inspired by their shared journey over 20 years ago, the book provides practical guidance for building effective, cross-cultural partnerships that honor God and impact lives.
Through personal stories and timeless truths, the authors invite readers to embrace a renewed vision for reaching the world with the gospel, highlighting how true, lasting change can be achieved.

2024 AND BEYOND
As we look beyond 2024, Life in Abundance (LIA) International remains committed to expanding its impact by empowering local churches and transforming vulnerable communities. The mid-term review of the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan highlights significant achievements, including deeper community engagement, strengthened financial performance, and growing global partnerships. Together with the Ministry Support Offices in the US and Europe, LIA-UK have played a crucial role in mobilising resources and expanding the reach of LIA International.
In 2024 LIA UK was able to contribute to programme activities in Sudan, Haiti, Kenya, Uganda, and Egypt.
Looking ahead, as LIA International expands into new regions, the programmes will become better adapted to the strained political and economic challenges some of our nations are experiencing. In nations experiencing internal conflicts, LIA are refining interventions to ensure continuity and support for affected communities.
The resilience of the local church in the regions we serve continues to be a powerful force for transformation and hope. Their deep-rooted presence, trust among the people, and commitment to holistic development make them uniquely positioned in these times to drive lasting change. We continue to see that by equipping and strengthening local churches, often in the most challenging environments, communities have a foundation of hope, self-reliance, and sustainable transformation for 2025 and beyond.
